What Saturdays should be about

This past Saturday we started off our day by going to the beach, which was a very nice and relaxing time. At around 12:45 we saw some clouds off in the distance with rain and figured we should go ahead and pack up. Then, just as we were pulling out of the parking lot, it started to rain. Perfect timing.

On the way home, as he always does, Kaden fell asleep. Upon returning home he went down for a nap and gave us time to play our new favorite game, Settlers of Catan! He woke up in the middle of the second game, but wasn't much trouble.

If you look to the top left of the picture you can see Kaden's art work! We did have to distract him a little bit.

While we played our game and Kaden napped, I made a WONDERFUL dessert! I made chocolate cupcakes with an Almond Joy stuck (cooked/melted) in the middle. Then I topped it off with chocolate icing and then rolled it in coconut! It was pure heaven! I wanted to top it with coconut icing, but couldn't find any.

All Saturdays should be like this! Beach, games, desserts and friends...that's what I call a nice day.

Sharing: next Goal

Kaden likes playing with most kids. There really hasn't been a situation where we have had to separate him from others. He does come home from time to time with a few bite marks proving that he does not always "get along" with others. Usually I just hear "I wish he would bite back or something". Kaden is a lover not a fighter (so far).

Until that is, you mess with his Cozy Coupe. Now there wasn't any biting or punching involved, just shoving and grunting. No tears were shed and they remain friends, but our next goal will need to be the art of sharing.

As a side note it did cross my mind that with all the climbing, running, jumping and now squeezing into cars....this kid might be destined for the circus!!
